Dr. Ananya Tirupathur
Ananya Tirupathur, an Edison, NJ native joined Cape Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care in October, 2023. Ananya's professional interests are diverse, spanning the fields of neurology, small ruminants, and shelter medicine.
She is a proud member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, a testament to her dedication to her profession and her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of veterinary care.
Her academic journey started at Rutgers University – School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, where she pursued a degree in Animal Science, specializing in Pre-veterinary Medicine and Research. Ananya's academic excellence was evident as she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was recognized as a George H. Cook Honors Scholar.
She pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian at the renowned Royal Veterinary College, graduating in 2023. Ananya's dedication to her studies and research was acknowledged with a Merit award for her final year Research Project. Ananya's love for animals was evident through her volunteer work. She spent her high school years volunteering at the local animal shelter's cattery and actively participated in her school's reptile and exotic animal club. At Rutgers University, she took every opportunity to learn about animal care, including showing livestock for three years at Rutgers Day and working as a part-time kennel assistant at a local animal hospital during lectures and the summer months.
In her free time, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes, expressing her artistic side through drawing, and engaging in tabletop games with friends. Ananya also finds solace in the great outdoors, relishing hiking, swimming, and embarking on solo adventures around the world.
